Captain Conan (Capitaine Conan) is a 1996 French drama film directed by Bertrand Tavernier, based on Roger Vercel's Prix Goncourt-winning novel. On the Macedonian front in World War I, Conan, an officer of the Chasseurs Alpins, leads a special squad on nighttime raids. After the Armistice, his unit is sent to Bucharest as part of the Allied intervention in the Russian Civil War.
