Dog Jack is a 2010 American Civil War family drama directed by Edward D. McDougal, based on the novel by Florence W. Biros. The film is inspired by the true story of the mascot of the 102nd Pennsylvania Regiment. A teen slave in Virginia escapes his plantation at the outset of the Civil War with his dog, Jack, and joins the 102nd Pennsylvania Regiment. Louis Gossett Jr. narrates.
