Kandahar is a 2001 Iranian drama directed by Mohsen Makhmalbaf. An Afghan-born Canadian journalist crosses into Taliban-ruled Afghanistan from Iran to reach the city of Kandahar and try to prevent her sister, who has lost her legs to a landmine, from committing suicide.
