Kandahar Break is a 2009 British war film and the feature debut of writer-director David Whitney. Set in 1999, the film follows a British mine clearance engineer working for the Taliban government in Afghanistan who must flee the country when he becomes embroiled in a deadly game of intrigue and betrayal after falling for an Afghan interpreter.
