Red Cherry is a 1995 Chinese war drama film directed by Ye Ying (Daying Ye). The film is based on the true story of two Chinese children, Chuchu and Luo Xiaoman, sent to Moscow in the 1940s and enrolled in an international boarding school, where they endure World War II. Red Cherry was China's biggest box office hit in 1995 and won Best Picture at the 1996 Golden Rooster Awards.
