The Butcher of Prague (originally Lidice, also released as Fall of the Innocent) is a 2011 Czech drama film directed by Petr Nikolaev from a screenplay by Zdeněk Mahler. The film tells three interconnected stories surrounding the destruction of Lidice in June 1942, when the village was exterminated and burnt by Nazis in retaliation for the assassination of Reich Protector Reinhard Heydrich.
