Uprising is a 2001 American war drama television film co-written and directed by Jon Avnet, starring Hank Azaria, David Schwimmer, Donald Sutherland, and Leelee Sobieski. It dramatizes the 1943 Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, when poorly armed Jewish residents staged a desperate revolt against the Nazi forces sent to deport them to extermination camps.
