Volver is a 2006 Spanish comedy-drama film written and directed by Pedro Almodóvar. The movie centers on an eccentric family of women from a wind-swept region south of Madrid. The protagonist, Raimunda, is a working-class woman who must take drastic measures to safeguard her 14-year-old daughter Paula. Complicating matters further, Raimunda's deceased mother Irene mysteriously returns, seeking to resolve unfinished family business.
