Wendy and Lucy is a 2008 American drama film directed by Kelly Reichardt. The screenplay, adapted by Reichardt and Jon Raymond from Raymond's short story Train Choir, centers on Michelle Williams as Wendy, a homeless woman searching for her lost dog Lucy during a journey to Alaska for cannery work. The film had its world premiere at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival before receiving limited U.S. theatrical release in December 2008.
