The Skin

The Skin (La Pelle) is a 1981 Italian-French drama film directed by Liliana Cavani and starring Marcello Mastroianni, Claudia Cardinale, and Burt Lancaster. Based on Curzio Malaparte's memoirs, it offers an unflinching look at the collapse of Italian society under American occupation in Naples after the defeat of the Nazis in 1944.
