Mother Night is a 1996 American romantic war drama film produced and directed by Keith Gordon, based on Kurt Vonnegut's 1961 novel. Nick Nolte plays Howard Campbell, an American writer living in Germany at the dawn of World War II who is enlisted by the U.S. government to deliver pro-Nazi messages on European radio that contain coded secret messages for the Allies.
