The Island on Bird Street

The Island on Bird Street is a 1997 Danish-produced drama film directed by Soren Kragh-Jacobsen, based on the novel by Uri Orlev. During World War II, an eleven-year-old Jewish boy is left on his own for months in a ruined house in the Warsaw Ghetto, where he must learn the tricks of survival under constantly life-threatening conditions. It stars Jordan Kiziuk, Patrick Bergin, and Jack Warden.
