Talk of Angels

Talk of Angels is a 1998 Miramax drama film directed by Nick Hamm, based on Kate O'Brien's 1936 novel Mary Lavelle. A young Irish governess (Polly Walker) travels to Spain in the mid-1930s to teach English to the young daughters of a prominent family and becomes drawn to the family's married eldest son (Vincent Perez) as the Spanish Civil War erupts.
