Windtalkers is a 2002 American war film directed by John Woo, starring Nicolas Cage, Adam Beach, and Christian Slater. During the World War II Battle of Saipan, a battle-hardened Marine sergeant is assigned to protect a Navajo code talker — and ordered to kill him if capture seems imminent to prevent the Japanese from learning the unbreakable code.
