The Wind That Shakes the Barley is a 2006 war drama film directed by Ken Loach. The story follows two County Cork brothers, Damien and Teddy O'Donovan, who initially unite to fight for Irish independence from British rule during the Irish War of Independence (1919–1921). However, their bond fractures when they find themselves on opposing sides during the subsequent Irish Civil War (1922–1923).
