Defiance is a 2008 American epic war drama directed by Edward Zwick, based on Nechama Tec's 1993 book about the Bielski partisans. Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber, and Jamie Bell star as the three Bielski brothers, Belarusian Jews who established a community of refugees and partisans in the forests of German-occupied Belarus during World War II.
