Passchendaele is a 2008 Canadian war drama film written, co-produced, directed by, and starring Paul Gross. Inspired by stories from his First World War veteran grandfather, it follows a Canadian soldier and a nurse whose lives intertwine during the catastrophic Battle of Passchendaele in 1917.
