Sword of War (originally Barbarossa) is a 2009 Italian English-language epic historical drama film directed by Renzo Martinelli, set primarily in northern Italy during the late 12th century. The film centers on the struggle of the Lombard League and the legendary Guelph warrior Alberto da Giussano against the Holy Roman Emperor Friedrich Barbarossa. Stars Rutger Hauer, Raz Degan and F. Murray Abraham.
