Death and Glory in Changde is a 2010 Chinese war film directed by Shen Dong, based on the Battle of Changde in 1943 during the Second Sino-Japanese War. A Chinese division of about 8,000 soldiers led by commander Yu Chengwan defended the city against 30,000 Japanese invaders; off-screen only 83 of the 8,000 defenders survived.
