The Wipers Times is a 2013 BBC television war drama written by Ian Hislop and Nick Newman, starring Ben Chaplin as Captain Fred Roberts. Based on a true story, it follows British soldiers on the Western Front who discover a printing press in the ruins of Ypres and produce a satirical trench newspaper to keep morale alive through the horrors of the Somme.
